My best-selling pattern the Eleonora dress is now sleeveless for the warm summer days!

Please know that the sleeveless Eleonora dress is a new pattern and different from the Eleonora dress with sleeves. The only pattern pieces that are the same are the skirt, pockets and ties. The bodice has been reworked to fit well without the sleeves. It has been pattern tested during 1.5 months, three pattern testing periods and over 70 pattern testers to help me make sure that this pattern fits well.

There's a bundle for both patterns available here.

The sleeveless Eleonora dress is a romantic summer dress inspired by vintage chemise dresses, but with a modern take that makes it more suitable for everyday wear. The dress is adjustable due to the tie and elastic at the neckline and waist and comes with A-E bra cup options. Eleonora features gathered shoulder straps with elasticated channel with ruffles. The gathered midi skirt has four panels, hidden pockets and is finished with a deep hem. View A-C: The neckline has ruffles and a channel that is adjustable with a tie and elastic. The waist also has an adjustable channel. View B: The bodice has elastic channel under the bust. View C: The bodice is cinched in with shirring above the waistline.

The Eleonora dress with sleeves was my best selling design during S/S2022 and S/S2023.

Size range: European sizes 34-50/UK6-UK22/US2-US22 with A-E bra cup size options.

Sewing difficulty: The pattern is suitable for intermediate sewists. You should be able to sew a channel for the neckline and the sleeves. The neckline and the waist is finished with elastic and an adjustable tie. There are options of shirring or elastic under the bust.

Fabric suggestions: Choose a lightweight woven fabric such as cotton voilé or cotton lawn. The Eleonora dress used for the photo shoot was made in a Japanese crinkled cotton.

Fabric usage: 4.9 meter (EU34) to 5.5 meter (EU50) for the original four panel skirt. However, many of my pattern testers made the Eleonora dress using much less (around 3-3.5 meter depending on your fabric width). Read more about it in my instructions.

Pattern tester feedback:
Oda: "Turn the gorgeous and elegant Eleonora dress into the ultimate summer go-to! It’s comfy, elegant and pair it with a light weight cotton and you will be twirling your way through those hot summer days in bliss. The instructions were easy to follow and really clear making it a relatively easy make. I love my dress and shall be alternating between that and my other Eleonora dresses this summer."

Martina: "As soon I saw this design I immediately knew I would love it, what I did not expect was the enjoyment that I felt while sewing it, many little steps that created a stunning piece. Now I have a dress that make me feel like a princess, I will twirl in it all summer long!"

Brittany: "I enjoyed sewing the Sleeveless Eleonora Pattern. As an experienced sewist it is fun to try new patterns that have a few challenges. This patterns instructions are more involved than many, however the payoff is excellent and provides a beautiful finished garment. I loved making this pattern and will be making more dresses this summer!"

Elizabeth: "The sleeveless Eleonora won me over with its charming ruffles and darling ties, adding to the romantic allure of this timeless summer dress. I look forward wearing it over and over again and on making more! This was my first Silversaga pattern and it sewed up beautifully. I foresee other patterns by Jessica in my closet in the future."

Michelle: "The sleeveless Eleanora dress is a lovely dress that is easy to wear and so comfortable. It gives the illusion of a fitted dress, but with the ease of elastic! The pattern instructions are well written and detailed. There are unique construction details I have never seen before, and yet they weren't all that difficult once you did it yourself. I would say this pattern is probably an advanced intermediate level. There is just a lot of detail. I can't wait to wear this dress this summer!"

Beatrice: "Turn the gorgeous and elegant Eleonora dress into the ultimate summer go-to! It’s comfy, elegant and pair it with a light weight cotton and you will be twirling your way through those hot summer days in bliss. The instructions were easy to follow and really clear making it a relatively easy make. I love my dress and shall be alternating between that and my other Eleonora dresses this summer."

Renske: "I loved the romantic character of the pattern, and how easy it came together. And it’s so comfortable and light to wear on a hot summer day."

Stephanie: "The sleeveless Eleonora dress is such a lovely and feminine silhouette. It is the quintessential summer dress, in my opinion. And sewing this beauty up went really smoothly for me. It's easy to see that Jessica really takes care to make sure her patterns are drafted with the ease of fitting in mind for each sewist. And while adjustments may still be necessary as we all have different bodies, I think those adjustments will be minimal for most people. I really took my time with this one and am so happy with the final results. I wore it for the first time today and my husband commented that I should make more versions of this dress in different fabrics. The first time he's ever said that BTW. Overall, a wonderful pattern and I highly recommend giving it a go."

Jen: "Jessica designs dresses that make you feel confident and feminine."

Tuss: "This dress is divine! The process of making it is very calming, the instructions take you through everything and its very calming. I feel like an absolute goddess in mine, and I can wear it with a normal bra!! If you're a big bust girly like me, you know how hard it can be to find sleeveless dresses that accommodate a bra with chunky straps. All in all, incredible pattern!"

Larissa: "The dreamiest summer dress pattern! The shirring and the ruffles create a beautiful silhouette, it also makes the dress super comfortable. It takes some time to create the beautiful neckline but it’s worth it. It’s definitely not a beginner pattern, but the instructions are super clear and detailed, so intermediate sewists will have no problem sewing it. I’m really in love with this dress!"

Jane: "This beautiful pattern is such a flattering fit for all body types. It’s also very comfortable due to the elastic/sheering. It is an intermediate pattern, but I think a confident beginner could definitely give it a try and be successful."

Bethany: "An absolutely beautiful dress! So comfortable and easy to throw on and I feel amazing in it. I've also made the Eleonora Dress with sleeves, and while there are similar features, the sleeveless version was different enough that it felt like a fresh sew. The instructions were detailed and walk through carefully through each step. A pleasure to make yet another Silversaga Dress, and won't be my last!"
