Pattern tester feedback:
Marta: "The Ella dress is beautifully designed and drafted, and fit me perfectly with minimal alterations. The construction of the bodice is very clever and uses unconventional pattern pieces which was really interesting to me. Ella has been carefully designed to flatter the woman's body without being restrictive: the plunging neckline has the perfect depth, the full sleeves look great full length or rolled up with the elastic, the cute bow tie finishes the neck and distracts the view from the tummy area, and the A-line skirt is flattering for every body shape. I feel so feminine and elegant wearing this dress, and I am so glad to have this dress in my wardrobe!"
Anna: "The Ella Dress is such an elegant pattern to make. Definitely takes a couple of hours to whip up and teaches great skills with gathering, bias binding and adding an invisible zip. You feel absolutely beautiful wearing it!”
Elizabeth: "The garment is so beautifully designed! I love the volume of the sleeves and shape of the skirt pieces gives the dress such an elegant touch. The pattern does require skill and attention to ensure the bodice fits to the body, but the process makes it all worthwhile!”
Pam: "Thank you for giving me the opportunity to test this piece. Your construction and pattern skills are fantastic!”
Cayden: "Sewing the Ella pattern was blissful. I was nervous to start because it seems that such a beautiful dress should be difficult to accomplish. That is not the case here! The pattern comes together fairly quick and you are left with a gorgeous, whimsical, beautiful dress.”
Suna: "I found the instructions very clear and the illustrations very beautiful. I've made my wearable toile and it's looking great. The fitting of the dress is gorgeous. I made a straight size 38 with no mods and the shaping around the bust is so flattering. I love how it is free through the waist but because of the design it has a semi-fitted look. The bodice then flows beautifully into the flowing skirt - I've already done a lot of twirling in it! Another thing i love is how the sleeves are inserted into the bodice - it creates so much mobility around the underarm that i can flap my arms around and it doesn't move the bodice at all.”
Tringa: "I am very happy that I got the chance to test the Ella dress. It is a charming dress that can work very well for everyday wear but also special occasions. Thank you for creating this masterpiece of a dress!"
