The Eleonora dress is a romantic summer dress inspired by vintage chemise dresses, but with a modern take that makes it more suitable for everyday wear. The dress is adjustable due to the tie and elastic at the neckline and waist and comes with A-E cup size options. Eleonora features gathered raglan sleeves with elasticated channel with ruffles. The gathered midi skirt has four panels, hidden pockets and are finished with a deep hem. View A-C: The neckline has ruffles and a channel that is adjustable with a tie and elastic. The waist also has an adjustable channel. View B: The bodice has elastic channel under the bust. View C: The bodice is cinched in with shirring above the waistline to create a flattering silhouette.
This dress was my best selling design during S/S2022 and S/S2023.
Size range: European sizes 34-50/UK6-UK22/US2-US22 with A-E cup size options.
Sewing difficulty: The pattern is suitable for intermediate sewists. You should be able to sew a channel for the neckline and the sleeves. The neckline and the waist is finished with elastic and an adjustable tie. There are options of shirring or elastic under the bust.
Fabric suggestions: Choose a lightweight woven fabric such as cotton voilé or cotton lawn. The Eleonora dress was originally released during my S/S2022 and S/S2023 slow fashion collection and made in a lightweight crinkled cotton.
Fabric usage: All views = 4.9 meter (EU34) to 5.5 meter (EU50) for the original four panel skirt - however, many of my pattern testers made the Eleonora dress using around 3-3.5 meter. Read more in the instructions.

Pattern tester feedback:
Vesna: "I absolutely love my Eleonora! The dress is super ethereal and dreamy - if you need a dress for frolicking through the fields of flowers or posing for an oil portrait, look no further! My absolute favorite part about it is that the fit is super forgiving - it's basically made with ties and elastic, so the sizing is very flexible. As someone whose weight tends to fluctuate a lot, it gives me great comfort to know that I'll be able to still wear this dress, a few kilos up or down! I could not recommend this pattern more!"
Bethany: "The Eleonora Dress is a gorgeous sew, full of romantic details. The instructions are thorough with clear illustrations that help you every step of the way. I was honored to have tested this beautiful pattern!"
Stephanie: "This dreamy romantic dress was a wonderful sew, the pattern instructions were detailed and thorough through each step of making the dress. I now have a beautiful dress that is a timeless silhouette."
Celeste: "Jessica has the absolute dreamiest vision for patterns and she executed them well. I now have 3 dress patterns of hers and they deliver the most beautiful and detail-oriented pieces. It’s such a treasure to own such beautiful dresses and learn how to make them from her instructions. I will be forever looking forward to her creations while loving and making more of the patterns I do have."
Madeleine: "This pattern really is a fantasy come to life. I love that you can choose from different bodice styles but yet one looks just as good as the others. This is the first dress I've made that my husband said if he was a girl, he'd wear it (he also said it looks very "metal" which is a compliment coming from him). I think this is a great addition to the Silversaga patterns and everyone who's tried the Clara will love this more detailed version."
Caitlin: "The Eleonora Dress is the Main Character of your romantic life. The details of this pattern are not only constructionally thoughtful, but aesthetically stunning. The instructions guide you step by step, giving you encouragement when you are not positive where you will land with it. I am so happy with my dress and cannot wait to wear it over and over again."
Felicity: "The Eleonora dress is a beautiful whimsical garment and the pattern is a delight to sew. The instructions are very detailed and the pattern has so many opportunities to be hacked too. I learnt new techniques such as adjustable ties with elastic that I'll be using in many other projects. Jessica is such a talented pattern design and has taken on so much feedback to create this beautiful product for sewists."
Anna: "There are just so many things I love about this pattern. The style is so special of course, but the pattern instructions are also just very thoughtful and detailed. With a bit of patience I think anyone could make their own version of this style, so they can frolic merrily in their own meadow."
Tea: "Comfy and romantic! If you chose lightweight cotton it will be easy to make and a dream to wear."
Suna: "A beautiful design with a soft, timeless, romantic elegance. Whilst one of the more challenging patterns, the Eleonora is worth it for the result. I love some of the design details such as the neckline and waist ties being partially elastic and partially fabric, allowing the neckline and waist to be fully adjustable. Perfect for changing bodies and breastfeeding. There are so many hacking options to give it a different feel- one that can really be played around with! I also liked the opportunity to practice my shirring with some very helpful tips from Jessica in the instructions."
Madalina: "Sewing this pattern was such a pleasure. I love the feminine design and the fit. Perfect for my curves. The instructions are easy to follow. I‘m very happy with the results and I can‘t wait to wear my Eleonora Dress. Thank you!"
Marta: "This is my perfect spring/summer dress: it feels airy and comfortable, but it is also flattering and pretty. Jessica's instructions are very detailed, giving tips and tricks along the way. With infinite hacking possibilities, you will be able to make a garment that you will truly cherish."
Aria: "Another perfectly romantic dress with well thought out details and perfect instructions!"
Cayden: "The Eleonora dress pattern is so beautiful and romantic. It is wonderfully constructed, fun to sew, and such a breeze to effortlessly wear. The pattern is easily hackable to a blouse for more regular wear and there are many examples of ways to hack this pattern in the instructions. I love a multipurpose pattern and the Eleonora dress really nails it!"
Annette: "The Eleanora is romance wrapped in comfort! The gathered sleeves and skirt, along with the adjustable neck and waist ties make this dress not only very pretty to wear but extremely comfortable as well. Jessica has considered every detail in the three different views and the instructions will walk you through each step."
Piola: "If you're going to sew a dress this summer, it should be this one. The Eleonora dress is so beautiful and comfortable to wear, it is lightweight and perfectly flowy in the summer breeze. I loved sewing the Eleonora dress and can't wait to make more in different colors and fabrics. Thank you for another absolutely beautiful pattern Jessica!"
Shreya: "If you're looking for the dreamiest dress of the summer, Eleonora has to be on your to-sew list! Every detail of this pattern embodies timeless elegance and romance - from the beautiful neckline ruffle to the luxurious deep hem. The shirring and elastic channels (if you choose to add them) add the perfect amount of shaping, and thanks to the stretch of the elastic, this dress strikes the balance of being both fitted AND comfortable. I've already found myself reaching for Eleonora time and time again, whether its for a sunny afternoon in the park or a romantic date night out. The instructions include multiple hacking possibilities, and this would be perfect for any intermediate sewist looking to create their dress of dreams <3"
Madeleine: "The Eleonora Dress is beautiful. Its simple yet charming and is quick to put together for an experienced sewist. The pattern is adaptable to create a range of designs and the consideration of including maternity friendly features (adjustable neck and waist ties) is so thoughtful."
